# Team management in a workspace

#### Overview

A workspace can have one or multiple teams in its configuration, each with its specific access permissions and corresponding participants.

You can add pre-existing teams to a workspace during the [creation of the workspace](https://help.wikimee.app/en/how-to-create-a-workspace?hsLang=en) or create specific teams after the workspace is created.

#### Adding teams to a workspace

To add or create a new team in a workspace:

- Access the workspace through the Wikimee **navigation menu ![1](https://help.wikimee.app/hs-fs/hubfs/Central%20Conhecimento/1.png?width=20&height=19&name=1.png)**.
- Navigate to the list of teams in the workspace.
- Click on the **New team button ![2](https://help.wikimee.app/hs-fs/hubfs/Central%20Conhecimento/2.png?width=20&height=19&name=2.png)**.
- Then, use the **search field ![3](https://help.wikimee.app/hs-fs/hubfs/Central%20Conhecimento/3.png?width=20&height=19&name=3.png)** to search for a team by name.
- Click on the blue **Add button ![4](https://help.wikimee.app/hs-fs/hubfs/Central%20Conhecimento/4.png?width=20&height=19&name=4.png)** located next to the desired team.
- Select the type of **team access ![5](https://help.wikimee.app/hs-fs/hubfs/Central%20Conhecimento/5.png?width=20&height=19&name=5.png)**: 
    - **Editor** - Team with standard access.
    - **Manager** - Team with access permission to workspace management settings.
    - **Viewer** - Team only has permission to view the workspace.
- If the team has not been created in your account or is a new team exclusive to this workspace: Click on the blue **New team button ![6](https://help.wikimee.app/hs-fs/hubfs/Central%20Conhecimento/6.png?width=20&height=19&name=6.png)**. #### Changing access and removing teams in a workspace

To change the **team's access type** or **remove** it from the workspace:

- Access the workspace through the Wikimee **navigation menu ![7](https://help.wikimee.app/hs-fs/hubfs/Central%20Conhecimento/7.png?width=20&height=19&name=7.png)**.
- Click on the **Vertical menu button ![menu_dots_icon](https://help.wikimee.app/hs-fs/hubfs/Central%20Conhecimento/menu_dots_icon.png?width=20&height=20&name=menu_dots_icon.png)**, located next to the workspace name, on the top bar of Wikimee ![8](https://help.wikimee.app/hs-fs/hubfs/Central%20Conhecimento/8.png?width=20&height=19&name=8.png).
- Select **Edit**.

- In the **top navigation menu**, select the **People option ![9](https://help.wikimee.app/hs-fs/hubfs/Central%20Conhecimento/9.png?width=20&height=19&name=9.png)**.
- To **change the team's access type**: 
    - In the column corresponding to **Role**, select one of the options: **Manager**, **Editor**, or **Viewer ![10](https://help.wikimee.app/hs-fs/hubfs/Central%20Conhecimento/10.png?width=20&height=19&name=10.png)**. 
          - **Manager** - Team with access permission to workspace management settings.
          - **Editor** - Team with standard access.
          - **Viewer** - Team only has permission to view the workspace.
- To **remove a team** from the workspace: 
    - Click on the **Vertical menu button ![menu_dots_icon](https://help.wikimee.app/hs-fs/hubfs/Central%20Conhecimento/menu_dots_icon.png?width=20&height=20&name=menu_dots_icon.png)** located above the team and select **Remove ![11](https://help.wikimee.app/hs-fs/hubfs/Central%20Conhecimento/11.png?width=20&height=19&name=11.png)**.
