# How to edit notification preferences

#### Overview

With Wikimee, every action taken in a workspace, initiative, demand, and file will generate a notification event.

This event can be customized in your user settings so that you are only notified about what is important in your work context.

#### Types of notifications

Wikimee has customized notification settings according to each user's needs. It is possible to configure notifications:

- According to the workspace, initiative, or board.
- According to activities.

#### Notification settings

To customize notifications:

- Click on your profile picture located in the upper right corner of the page.
- Select Settings.
- In the navigation menu on the left side of Wikimee, click on **Notifications**.
- Enable or disable the desired configuration type in the available notification options.
- Use the scroll bar to navigate through the options.
- Click **Save Changes**.
