Overview
Files published in a workspace or initiative may require updates to their information or even changes to their content, requiring replacement.
To perform the necessary edits and updates, a user with manager access to the workspace or initiative, as well as the user who uploaded the file, can update it using the file editing feature.
File editing
To edit the information of a file or to replace it with a new version:
- Access the file in your workspace, initiative, or through the Files section of Wikimee.
- Click on the Vertical Menu button, positioned on the top bar of Wikimee next to the file name.
- Select the Edit option.
Editing general data
After accessing the file editing feature, update the general information and advanced indexing information as needed.
- Select the General data option in the top navigation menu to edit the general information of:
- Title - Edit the name of the file.
- Workspace - Change the workspace related to the file.
- Initiative - Change the initiative corresponding to the file.
- Creative - Edit the asset type related to the file.
Editing advanced data
- Click on Advanced Options and edit the following information:
- Keywords - Edit the file keywords.
- Allow Download - Enable or disable download permission.
- Use initiative date - If the file is related to an initiative, enable or disable the use of the initiative's expiration date with this option.
- Immediate Publication - Enable or disable immediate publication of the file. With this option, you can edit the initial and final validity dates of the file. This option will be hidden if you have selected an initiative.
- Start and Final Date - Edit the start and end dates of file validity.
- Use initiative copyright - Enable or disable the use of the copyright of the initiative corresponding to the file.
- Author's Information - Edit the information of the author responsible for the file rights.
- Usage Permissions - Edit the file's usage permission information.
- Replace File - Position the mouse cursor over the thumbnail located below the advanced options of the general file data. Click on Replace File.
- Click on Save Changes to complete the General data file edit.
