Overview

Adding files to Wikimee can be done from a workspace, from an initiative (with Published view mode active), or directly through the Files section.

Uploading files to workspaces and initiatives where you are not an admin user will depend on the permissions granted by the workspace manager.

Uploading files

To upload a file:

  • Access Files through the Wikimee navigation menu.

Click on the Add file button.

Editing the information of the new file

After clicking on the Add file button, fill in the file information for indexing:

  • Enter a title for your file in the Title field.
  • In the Workspace field, select the workspace corresponding to the file.
  • In the Initiative field, select the initiative related to this file. If the file is not related to any existing initiatives, ignore this selection.
  • In the Creative field, select the asset type related to the file. If you don't know the asset type, select the Generic file option.
  • Click on Advanced Options to define the complementary information of the file.
  • In the Keywords field, enter the keywords related to your file.
  • By default, the Allow download option will be enabled. Disable the option if you wish to restrict the download of the file.
  • If you have selected an initiative, the Use initiative date option will be enabled. Disable the option if you wish to provide a different expiration date than the initiative in your file.
  • Enable the Immediate Publication option to set the validity dates for the file. This option will be hidden if you have selected an initiative.
  • Enter the initial and final validity dates of the file.
  • Disable the Immediate Publication option if you do not want to publish the file immediately.
  • Enable the Use Initiative Copyrights option if the file has the same usage rights as the corresponding initiative.
  • If the file has its own copyrights or is not related to an initiative, disable the Use Initiative Copyrights option to fill in the author information and usage permissions.
  • If the file has its own copyrights, provide the author's information and usage permissions.
  • Drag the file to the upload area or click on the corresponding area to upload the file from your computer. You can upload multiple files simultaneously.
